Charles M. Confair

Date of Service:

August 30, 1942 - November 3, 1945

Rank:

Baker First Class
("Was not a baker when I cane aboard,
but worked my way up")

"Charlie- nickname, Don't know how it came about."

"The T. J. was a good ship and had a good bunch of men. We did the best we could do. Moris Tieche taught me about baking he was a great guy and well liked by all the men. The T. J. went on to serve after I left it and from what I have heard did a good job. But it would because it was a Great Ship."

I'm looking for two bakers, Cox and Gill Govan.
